Last weekend we went to the beach for a mini-vacation. We dug our toes in the sand. We tasted salt on our lips. We ran up and down and up and down, chased by the waves. We let the wind mess up our hair. I looked at my daughters tiny footprints in the sand – thinking that too soon they will be as big as mine, and that I need to enjoy every moment I get to spend with them. So yes, even though that’s what we did last weekend, all I want to do this weekend is to go back to the big blue. To the tiny footprints. To the messy hair. To sandy screams of joy and sunny laughter.
