My trip to France is coming to an end, and all I want to do is bottle up time. Put these rare and precious moments with my family in a time capsule so that they never fade away. I want to remember it all, just the way it is. This is probably the number one the reason why I took up photography in the first place. Not to take pictures of perfect kids with perfect hair and perfectly dressed. But we are all guilty of it a little – we easily take out our camera for our child’s birthday or a friend’s wedding, when everybody and everything is pretty. But often we forget about capturing the beautiful, raw every day. Yes, our hair might be messy, and we might have some stains on our shirt, but who cares? Real is beautiful. The small moments are just important as the big ones. So this weekend, do me a favor, take out your camera (whether you have a fancy pantsy camera or just a phone camera), and snap away. Do it, really. You won’t regret it. Because the more you try to capture your every day, the more you will see the beauty in the smallest of things.
