I am always impressed when people manage to have a color “theme” throughout their home without that theme becoming too empowering. In her home, ceramic designer Silje Aune Eriksen managed to find the perfect balance- a bright apartment with lots of natural elements, punctuated by touches of soft and hot pinks contrasting with touches of black. Check out that fun stool in the kitchen! Kirtsen Visdal did an amazing job styling Silje’s home, I am completely in love with these pictures.
And to go with Silje’s home, this gorgeous dark chocolate chiffon cake with rosewater frosting by Rosie over at Sweetapolita. Again, I love the dark chocolate contrasting with the soft pink of the rosewater frosting.
Everybody probably knows by now that I am a big fan of rosewater anything – probably because it reminds me of my grand-mother. This cake looks so rich and beautiful, I just love the colors, and I am pretty sure that my stomach wouldn’t disagree with it either Get the recipe right here.
