Something special is coming to the blog tomorrow – an “Around the world DIY project” ! And it is this happy little coincidence that started it all, really:

Randomly, last February, Belinda from The Happy Home and I both revealed a version of a cork inspiration board made out of cork tiles and painted stripes on our blogs, pretty much at the same time (click here for my version, and here for Belinda’s version of the inspiration board). It was so fun to see, because really, even though we used the same material and methods, we came up with boards that were completely different.

We didn’t know each other back then, but when I discovered Belinda’s version and pointed out the coincidence to her, she posted a sweet little comment on my blog saying how fun it was that I had worked on my project at the “same time on the other side of the world”…. and that comment sparked this little idea in our heads! We thought, how about recreating that happy little coincidence? The minute we said it, the challenge was on! So every now and then, Belinda and I will both decide to work on a project, each on our side of the world…..then we’ll reveal our two different versions to you guys at the same time!

And tomorrow you’ll get to see our first big reveal. And we’re SO excited about it!
