My little girls. Love them to the moon and back.

Hold on, hold your horses! No, no, I am not expecting (yet) another baby. My two little girls are only fifteen months apart…so believe me, I’m enjoying a little break from being pregnant right now! One of my very dear friends, Lisa, is expecting a baby for July though. And it’s a girl! Oh I am so excited for her. It reminds me of when I was waiting for my own little girls. I’ve always wanted girls, so when the midwives announced both times that we were going to have a girl…my oh my! The butterflies in my belly, I tell you. It was the sweetest moment of all. I smiled from ear to ear. Not that I wouldn’t  be happy to have a little boy – hopefully someday. But for now I’m loving having my girls.

Talking about finding out the gender of your child, there’s a big trend right now to have a “gender reveal” party. The expecting couple invites their closest friends and families to share that moment when they learn the news. Joanna at Cup of Jo just wrote an interesting little blog post about this. Sometimes I love the idea, and sometimes I just think that this moment is better kept between the couple in love. What do you think? Would you do a gender reveal party or anything special?
